philosophy

actually i don‘t really like massages, particularly the ones provided at five star spas. first You fly 12 hours to the so called best spa (according to the high gloss magazines), there You climb, in an ice cold room without day light, up a so called professional massage table, they cover You with heavy towels (otherwise You would freeze), and then they start. one body part after the other one will be covered, then uncovered, and a sticky oil is rubbed into Your skin until You feel like a barbecue chicken. then they knead You far exceeding the threshold of pain and fumble most annoyingly around below the towels - synthetic esoteric elevator music does not make it any better - but luckily, after 50 minutes, the 60 minutes massage comes to an end (they need 10 minutes to change the huge amount of towels used). the tee served afterwards is, thank god, included in the 300 euro bargain price, but served that hot You don‘t have the slightest chance to drink it during the remaining treatment time - the three minutes are over and the next guest is already waiting at Your door steps. and this very guest will tell You during dinner what a great massage he had today, and You will nod in approval - after all everybody is obviously having an amazing time there.

this is probably not how it should be, right? but how should it be then?
