the annoying draping technique

the draping technique is the „art“ of covering body parts around the „taboo areas“ (mainly private parts, but female breasts too) using towels in a way allowing the therapist to work around these parts without seeing them, let alone touching them. at the beginning of the massage one (or more) towels are used to cover the whole body. in order to be able to work at least minimal on the bum (every serious therapist actually knows how important this would be) the towel is then folded to free the back and the upper half of the bum, allowing at least to work on the lumbar vertebrae, but unfortunately does not permit to work on all the important muscle groups which keep the spine, pelvis and thighs together - and as we know we want to work on the ligaments and muscles to their very roots. this means, only half of the work can be done - a very poor massage effect.

the same procedure takes place in the upper leg area, where the towel is drapped in a way which exposes the leg and lower part of the bum (sometimes not even this). this way at least a part of the muscles we want to work on can be reached - but still a very poor result. for me it gets even worse when the therapists, in their helplessness, start to fumble below the towel - they actually try to do their best, but personally i find this extremely intimidating. every respectable therapist working for a few years knows about this problem - but mostly they simply renounce and continue and do „business as usual“ - but we don‘t.

we simply got rid of the whole draping technique - and finally can do a great job.

we refrain from using towels to cover You at all, which most of our clients get used to and highly appreciate very quickly - they feel genuinely liberated. and finally we can work on the whole body. however, should You feel better when being covered we will of course respect this, even though the massage can not have our usual superior quality - but You will still enjoy it.
